Gary Johnson, Supervisor/Co-Owner
Gary Johnson, Supervisor/Co-owner, founded Above & Beyond Home Care, along with his brother, Dr. Roger Johnson, in early 2010 and serves as vice-president of its board. Johnson said he has “always had a passion for the handicapped and elderly” and prior to Above & Beyond’s inception, he was marketing director for Legacy Hospice, Walnut Ridge office, and Elmcroft. Johnson is an eight year veteran, and served during the Vietnam War era. He resides in Pocahontas and in his spare time loves to play golf.
Roger Johnson, Co-Owner
Roger Johnson, Ph.D, is co-owner of Above & Beyond Home Care and serves as president of its board of trustees. Dr. Johnson is a former college professor and currently serves as Vice-President of Academics at Black River Technical College. Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson loves to spend time at the golf course.
Susan Johnson, Office Manager
Susan Johnson, office manager, has been with the company since October 2011. Prior to joining the family owned business, she spent 16+ years as Advertising Manager/features writer and photographer for the Pocahontas Star Herald. She is married to Gary Johnson and together they have three children, Holly Sutton, Misty Thielemier and Jeremy Thielemier and two grandchildren, Chloe and Sarah Sutton. Outside of work she enjoys traveling and also continues to work as a freelance writer/photographer.
Jeremy Thielemier, General Manager
Jeremy Thielemier, General Manager, joined the family-owned business in October 2012. He brings to the company eight years of managerial experience. Jeremy loves all sports and in his free time loves to play golf.
Becky Ford, Registered Nurse
Becky Ford, RN, joined the Above & Beyond staff in March 2012 and brings to the company 30 years of experience. Prior to coming to Above & Beyond she spent 23 of those years at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, the latter 10 of which was in the Radiation Oncology Unit. Becky said she enjoys home care because, like her years in Oncology, she has the opportunity to build an ongoing relationship with her patients. Outside of work Becky enjoys traveling, bowling and spending time with family and friends. She and husband, Barry, are the parents of one son, Brett.
Sonia Moore, Registered Nurse
Sonia Moore, RN, has been a member of the Above & Beyond staff since October 2010. She resides in Imboden with her husband, Jason, and two children, Chandler and Jade. Sonia enjoys working with the elderly and shows horses in her down time.
Libby Allison, Registered Nurse
has been a registered nurse for 20 years, working with the elderly in different settings. She has worked with patients in Rehabilitation, Geri-psych, Hospice and Nursing Homes all of her nursing career. Working for Above & Beyond Home Care provides a wonderful place to be a patient advocate and to provide extra care for the people in their care. Libby is married to Millard Allison, both of whom were born and raised in Walnut Ridge, and have children and grandchildren. Church, family, friends, reading, crafts, TV, and helping others are the highlights of her days.
